The debate over how to lose weight fast and easy has been ongoing. The goal of easy weight loss has been an elusive one at best. While there are myriad of diet plans, pills, drinks, and methods available. It basically boils down to the same reality: you cannot lose weight and keep it off unless you make changes to your lifestyle.
We all know what foods are the obvious bad foods. Fast food chains and cookie cutter restaurants all tout their "healthy" menus, but most don't offer nutrition information or have ingredients that are less desirable.
Quite simply, the way that I lost 50 pounds was to change my lifestyle, completely. I started to exercise again and got my energy back. I was starting to feel really old - much older than my 46 years. I was achy, fatigued and just plain lazy. Since I changed my lifestyle, I feel that I have gotten my life back.
The changes that I made, while basic, are certainly life changing. But, with a little creativity and planning, I have grown to love the way I eat. How could I not? I feel better than I have in years and I lost the weight that had crept up on me over the past several years.
I have found substitutes for my favorite foods, including desserts. In fact, Raw Food cookbooks have some of the best dessert recipes around. They are all made without refined sugar and flour. Over the years, I had tried everything to lose the weight, but the bottom line is, I wasn't doing what I needed to do. And, that is cut out the bad foods. Plain and simple.
Here is how to lose weight fast naturally:
• Dump all of the processed foods
• Replace processed flours with whole grains
• Replace pasta with brown rice or quinoa pasta
• Cut out refined sugar
• Cut out dairy products (there are plenty of soy substitutions available - although be certain you are purchasing Non-GMO soy products)
• Cut out meat (however, cold water, wild caught fish such as salmon is important for the omega 3 oil content)
• Choose organic when possible (to avoid the pesticides and herbicides contained in conventionally grown foods)
• Consume at least 50% raw foods daily for the nutrient value (greens, fruits, vegetables)
I got serious about food shopping. I began shopping only the perimeter of the supermarket. My shopping cart now contains mostly fresh greens, vegetables and fruits - organic when possible.
I eat only sprouted grain breads and pastas such as Ezekiel breads and Tinkyada pastas.
Over the course of one year, I have lost 50 pounds. It came off slowly and steadily. My goal was not to lose weight but to improve my health. I accomplished both! As a result of improving my health, I learned how to lose weight fast naturally. A very pleasant side effect!
